Entry Bench & Closet

Designed to give our client a space to take off their shoes after coming into the house, this entry bench provides that seat along with additional storage. The large drawer underneath the bench can hold shoes, while a tall closet to the right can store the vacuum and other items. The bench is extra deep should the client want to add coat hooks in the future, and the sliding door cabinet above provides even more room for storage. The unit is built from birch plywood and veneered in Forbo Furniture Linoleum, slipping neatly under the existing bulkhead. The closet was built without a cabinet bottom to allow the vacuum to roll right in, and also gives access to the plumbing cleanout. One large custom notch in the side of the cabinet allows for the laundry hose and electrical connections to function while being concealed.
