Rob’s Book Case

Built from solid red oak, this bookcase came together to fill a wall to wall space in the clients living room. We used traditional caning in the rift and quartersawn doors as well as integrated pulls to keep everything cohesive. The 1” thick shelves and uprights helped to give the unit its weight and proportion. The shelves are grooved on the sides and mounted on plywood cleats, concealing all of our fasteners. This project was challenging, but equally gratifying!
