Murphy Bedroom

What started as a murphy bed project evolved to include a dresser, overhead sliding doors, a bench seat with drawer, curves, closets, and ultimately a lot of usable storage. We used our favorite UV birch plywood coupled with two colors of linoleum from Forbo. Some of our favorite details were the mixed handle styles and the curved components above the bench seat and dresser. The integrated lighting is from Hafele, and consists of a lighting strip above the exposed brick as well as two puck lights inside the murphy bed, all of which are individually switched. That exposed brick presented the challenge of a four sided scribe, but it was worth it in the end. This project had a lot of different components to line up, and we are happy to see them all in harmony.
